Our vocal percussionist, John, has accepted a job in a land far, far away. As a result, we’re looking for someone to fill his spot.
We’re looking for a bass/baritone or a vocal percussionist in the Atlanta area. If you’re interested in auditioning, please contact shane@breakdownband.com.

In July, we sang at the Sunday morning services for Faith Community Church in Grayson, GA. We enjoyed sharing our music with everyone, and we were overwhelmed by the support and response of the congregation.

Some of the kids even tried out some vocal percussion while we were singing. We love young a cappella fans–they just might end up being future a cappella vocalists themselves!Thank you, Faith Community Church, for having us back. It was a wonderful Sunday!

While we were in Cartersville, we took some time to sing at the Sunday morning services at First Presbyterian Church in Cartersville. Their early service was packed out, and what a great audience to sing for! There was so much movement in the crowd, you would have thought they were the ones on stage! An audience favorite was “Lead Me to the River.” Lots of toe tapping and head nodding to be seen during that tune.

The highlight of the morning for us was “This World”–the audience clapped along with us and was very energized by the upbeat gospel style.

We closed the service with the meditative “Love Song for a Savior,” which provided a great response to Pastor Ted’s sermon on confession. After the service, the congregation was more than supportive as they came to greet us, comment on our music, and purchase our cd’s. There were lots of questions for John, our vocal percussion expert, regarding just how he makes those crazy sounds! He even gave a mini-lesson to what ended up being a bit of a fan club.

We also sang a song at the second service and had a great response from the congregation. It was such a great experience singing here that our future Sunday mornings will have a lot to live up to!
Thank you so much, First Presbyterian of Cartersville, for welcoming us and being so supportive. It was a blessing to be a part of your fellowship, and we hope to come back soon!

This past weekend, Breakdown hit the road to sing at Jittery Joe’s in downtown Cartersville. With a great crowd, tasty coffee, and some rockin’ music, it was bound to be a great night! Crowd favorites were the high-energy “This World” and “Lead Me to the River”, as well as the highly recognizable “Love Song for a Savior.” Folks picked up some delicious drinks, good conversation, live music, and some cd’s to take home. Everyone had a great time!

Thanks so much, Jittery Joe’s, for the wonderful night!
